PERMISSIONS

Let the owner approve the connection

Claw Me uses its own review screen. The client can ask for access, but it cannot approve itself or quietly add permissions.

  1. 01

Complete Claw Me device authorization on a trusted client outside the sandbox. Review the requested permissions in the Claw Me email approval flow.

  2. 02

Store the issued Agent bearer key securely on the host. Supply it through CLAW_ME_AGENT_KEY, then run the managed MCP command above.

  3. 03

Confirm the connection belongs to the intended owner and Agent. Keep the key out of chat, project files, and the sandbox.

VERIFY

Prove the boundary before real work

A clean connection is not enough. Verify discovery, read-only access, and an approval-required action before relying on the setup.

  1. 01

Use mcp list to check that the claw-me server is registered and healthy before asking the Agent to use it.

  2. 02

Verify enabled features with account_get_permissions. Call wiki_get_agent_guide only when Profile context is enabled and the credential includes wiki:read.

  3. 03

Check an action requiring owner approval before real work. If discovery or authorization fails, stop and inspect the connection rather than relaxing permissions.

Put your connection to work

Start with a file, a Page, or an approved project brief.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Common connection issues

My NemoClaw CLI does not recognize mcp add.

Check the official NVIDIA documentation for the managed MCP requirements and update using its supported process.

The server returns an authentication error.

Check that the host environment contains a current, approved Claw Me Agent key. A setup code or owner session token cannot replace it. Renew authorization if the Agent key was revoked.

Should I run the standard OpenClaw plugin install inside the sandbox?

This guide uses remote MCP. Follow NVIDIA’s separate plugin installation documentation if you need a runtime plugin; the ordinary OpenClaw install command is not the managed MCP setup.
